Hi Susan,  OH…..MY…..GOD!!!!!  Olivi is even more beautiful than her pictures (and she was soooo pretty in her pictures).  She is everything I could have hoped for and more.  Her mane and forelock are gorgeous – she definitely inherited her father’s hair gene.  Her personality is so cute.  She is so sweet, friendly, and inquisitive about everything.  I can’t wait to ride her, although I’ll probably wait till after the foal is born being she’s so far along in her pregnancy.  She arrived about 5:00 yesterday.   Thank you so much for finding my dream horse.  My dream in now a reality!

Dear Susan,
Maestro has arrived and received unanimous standing ovations. My mares are already in love with him and so are we.
He is everything that you represented him to be, please forgive me for being "on guard" at first. It won't be long before I buy from you again.
I wanted to ask you if you don't mind for the copies of Maestro's baby pictures and that wonderful video of his that i want to put in the family photo album. ( at my expense)
Susan thank you so much it was a pleasure doing business with you.maes7.JPG (127007 bytes)  Very gratefully yours,

Hello Susan,    Here is my reference.       gerost1.JPG (134452 bytes)

Last year I was working my upper level dressage horse in the fall and overtime he started to develop difficulty with the work-- he was diagnosed with ringbone. His work was too inconsistent to be a competition horse anymore. I started to look for a new competition horse that would have upper level potential. I was not happy with the quality out in my area for the my price range-- further it would cost a lot just trying to drive out and looking at all these different horses! One day I received an email from Excalibur Friesians and I thought I would give Susan a call. She told me that Gero would be my choice-- she said he would win and he is definitely F.E.I. potential. I took a chance and trusted Susan and Arnold. I would say more risk! no video and I did not even see him since he was in Holland! Well-- I picked him up from 3 day quarantine and what a well mannered horse! After all the stress this 3 year old walked right on the trailer! When we got home he carefully walked off the trailer and later we let him go in the ring--- WOW! This Friesian moves beautiful! All his gaits are excellent and balanced beyond his age! Even the warmblood preference people were impressed! Susan reassured me that Gero will be everything you would want and more-- NO KIDDING! I have never been around such a well trained respecting baby! Even under saddle, it is hard to believe he is just turning 3! I am very happy that I took this risk. Susan and Arnold really know their Friesians, what their potential are, and incorporate excellent training! Thank you very much-- I can't wait to show him recognized next year! If you would like to contact me please do.

Dear Susan,
He is awesome!  Arrived at the barn at 7:00 last night.  Jeff said he traveled very well, was very smart and easy to get along with.  I stayed out with him until late last night and then was out there early this a.m. just got back home as I do have to get some deadline work out.  Hard to concentrate though .   He is eating and drinking very well and over all adjusting great.  I can't believe how he floats.  He was really showing off when he was put in his stall & run last night after coming off the trailer.
I was very pleased with Jeff/Grand Champion, I would sure recommend him to anyone.  The phone just rang and it was Jeff calling to check on him.  He asked that I let you know that everything went ok.
Yes, he is very very handsome!  I am in love!  But I am sure you hear that all the time.  Carlyn

Hello Susan:

My name is Kate , I'm 14 years old, and live in Ontario, Canada. I was just writing to say how lovely your site is, and I adore it very much! I know that making the chances of a F.P.S. approved stallion is slim. But I really think you should try and get Tietse approved! I will have my own Friesian(s) hopefully it is plural! Maybe I can purchase one fairly soon. I just spent alot of money on my acting career , getting an agent and drama lessons. So yes , I'm an actress in the making! ;)  Till soon,  Kate

I wanted to let you know that I am so happy with my new baby girl!   She
has the BEST temperament that I have ever seen on a filly of this age.  She
is loving and giving and a little sweet heart that wants to please.  She
gets so excited when I pull up and a constantly talks to me.  She screams
QUALITY and is the best looking Friesian I have physically seen in the US
(went to the Kuering prior to her arrival).

Ground manners are going well.  With her awsome temperment she will be an
angel to break to ride in 2 years!

Thank you so much for giving me such a fine girl.

Subject: Our Boy-
Date: 7/3/2004 6:50:13 PM Pacific Standard Time
Susan,

He has arrived, and he is phenomenal.. He is as sweet as can be, and just drop dead gorgeous!!
You were absolutely right, I was drooling. To see him move in the pasture, to see the leg action this boy has is unbelievable!!!! How could you let him go? (Yes, I know, you can't keep them all)

I feel he is adjusting just fine. He has some cute little qualities..
He is very curious about my shorts, shoes, and just about anything he can get away with.

You are right..he doesn't know he is a boy yet. Miss Ianne will wink over the fence( she must be in heat), and he doesn't pay any an "ioatta" of attention to her. We are very please and blessed to have him

This Sat. we are throwing a barbeque/party for him. Kinda crazy huh?  Well so many ask about him, it is a wonderful opportunity to get together with folks, and to show him off. Oh, and does he show off. He is drop dead gorgeous when he runs (I think I mentioned some of this in my last email to you, but I just can't help myself). I can honestly say that I have never-and I mean never have seen such beauty from a Friesian so young. It actually is almost overwhelming. I truly believe that this boy may go somewhere someday. I sure hope so.Again, thanks a million times-and then some.

Again, thank you.....lets keep in touch. I will send pics soon!!!         Jan

Susan,   They arrived here last night in the cold and rain. It took Justyn and Lorelie about 15 minutes in the coral to stop kicking up their heels and playing. I am madly in love with Lori!  We bonded this morning. She does not want you to ever stop brushing her.

Justyn has the most captivating eyes.  His eyelashes are so long!

Lorelie is such a lady and very sweet.

When they walked off the trailer last night my breath was taken away. I am taking the entire next week off to bond with them.  I don’t know how I am going to concentrate on my work today.

Thank you for such a wonderful girl.  Hopefully I will be breeding her to Tjerk later in the summer (end of June) after she has settled in and I have a sense of what her cycle is.  Take care,  Sandra

I am fascinated with this breed.  I grew up riding Quarter Horses and have not been able to ride for years because my husband and I work 60 + hours a week at our own business.   I am really interested in the Friesian.  Your website made me almost cry as it is so beautiful and interactive and at times funny especially with the mood music for your stud services.  I design the website for our car dealership so I can really appreciate a good website when I see one.  I would love to be part of a mailing list if you have one and would love to visit your facility one day when we are out in California.    Thank you so very much for your time, Sincerely,Debbie

Date: 4/17/2003 7:29:35 AM Pacific Daylight Time
Hi Susan,
Tessa arrived safe and sound at about 9:45 last night.  Gail said she had been exceptionally good coming down.  They had stopped several times and taken both of the horses out for a walk.  Tessa gave them no problems on reloading.  She was a little tired but is full of herself this morning.  The only problem so far was with my great dane, Jeannie, - she got her feelings stepped on until I formally introduced her to Tessa.  Animals, they are as bad as people.
Thank you for the professional and personal way you have handled my purchase of Tessa.  You have made it a pleasure.  Also, the quality of horses you sell is outstanding compared to a good many stables we visited.
Best wishes for a great future,       Gail

Subj: Successful trip!
Date: 11/6/2002 10:59:20 AM Pacific Standard Time
Good Morning Susan!
Marta and our boy made the trip in fine shape yesterday.  Holly (the owner of the Double 8) had a stall all ready for him with a heat lamp and food ready. Marta told me she thought you were great!  She enjoyed meeting you very much - I figured she would! *grin*  She also fell in love with Teake, but then how could she not!?!  She couldn't remember his name but when she said she'd seen the "most beautiful 4 year old friesian stallion...Melissa I mean this horse is to die for!"  I said it must have been Teake and she said "YES!!! That's exactly who it was!!!"

Susan, I'll never be able to thank you enough for everything you've done for us.  I know, I've said that so many times over the last few weeks that it's probably getting redundant.  I'm just not sure how to express the heartfelt gratitude I feel  - don't know if there is a way to express it at all. You've been an Angel throughout and I'm forever grateful.  I'll keep you updated on all of the progress.  I think he and Marta are going to be great friends.   'Bye for now!           Melissa3

Hello,
I, have never ever experienced the feeling I felt
when he walked out of that trailer! My eyes were
squenched shut at first-then one eye open then my
mouth fell open, knees shaking unmercifully. I could not
believe how I was reacting upon seeing him "GOD KNEW
EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING WHEN HE MADE WILLEM!!!"My
eyes are still swollen from crying ,screaming and
crying tears of happiness. Everytime I look at him it
is like seeing something sacred! UNTOUCHABLE by Man to
ruin! He is Different than other Friesian colts I have
seen...   The word PERFECTION doesn't even come close
to doing him justice! I thank GOD for him! I thank you
Susan for being my Portal! P.G. Pleshette

Subj: Briana

From:
To: Friesianex@aol.com

Wow!  I'm almost at a loss for words.  Not only was last night the first
time we saw Briana in person, it was the first time we'd seen a Friesian in
person.  You know... I've made all these decisions (I like, I want, they are
marketable, let's buy) from still shots, written breed descriptions, etc.
As positive as all those things were, I was unprepared to watch her move.  I
was awestruck.  The horse of kings?  No doubt!  We didn't walk her that far,
either!  We walked her from the trailer to her stall.  A distance of maybe
25 feet.  Breathtaking!  I just started babbling to Dan (my husband was
leading her), "Oh my God!  Look at her feet!  She's clearing the ground by
6" with each step!"  Luke (3-Way's driver) told us just wait till you really
see her move.  Luke was wonderful!  Apparently, in the couple of days it
took to get Briana here, Luke had grown quite attached.  He stayed with us
and Briana for probably 30 minutes.  He said that this one is a real baby.
After Luke left, I was waiting for Dan's reaction to Briana.  He walked over
to the truck and called his parents.  He wanted them to come visit the new
baby.  You would have thought we'd just given birth to her ourselves!  I
heard him telling them, "You've got to see her!  She clears the ground by 6"
when she steps!"  We all ooh'ed and ahh'ed over her.  Dan's dad is a
definite skeptic.  He definitely thought we needed our heads examined over
this one.  To buy a horse sight unseen, from a woman 1/2 the world away that
you've never met?  Sittin' yourself up for a royal screwin'.  Well... as
soon as Briana stuck her face in front of him, he started to half heartedly
scratch the side of her head, she liked it so much she leaned her head
sideways (we thought she was going to lay down on us).  We all loved it!
When he stopped scratching, she'd lean her head sideways like, "oh, please,
scratch again".  So... he's thoroughly won over!  Dan's mom was concerned
with turning her out with our other horses.  I told her that I wasn't going
to baby her no matter what she costs.  Besides, look at that horse.... I
think she can hold her own.  We finally got in the house around 9pm.  Dan
calls his brother and tells him they all need to make a trip to our farm to
see this one.  Hell... he's probably passing out cigars today at work!
She's definitely special.  Basically, I called you wanting one of your
horses and you picked out Briana.  Thank you.  She's perfect for us.  We
love her, already, just like anybody who passes this great horse's path
does.  We are going to keep her in her stall (12x24) for another day or so,
then turn her out into the barn lot 60'x80' for another couple of days, then
turn her into the horse pasture.  It's about 1/4 mile long and about 100
yards deep.  It runs write along Highway 66, an Indiana scenic highway.  I
cannot wait to walk her around the fences and let her run!  She's going to
stop traffic!  No doubt!  I'll keep you posted.  Thanks, Susan!  -  Felisa

HodgesDino:I love your beautiful horses bravo to you on accomplishing such standards!

Susan.... just in the past week or so found the "additional info" on your

Just got her home safe and sound. She is soooo pretty! her main and tail is gorgeous. Its so hard to find a pretty mare. What a shame the previous owner didn't present the mother and grandmother.  She is so calm, she went into the trailer well. She seems as happy as can be.
Truly you have the best horse's out there. Here I have two of your "studbook mares" and the look incredible. I just love them. Thank you so much, for your impeccable taste in Friesians. Its means so much to know I can trust you with buying something I haven't seen.

I am so happy with Bjorn. He was running in the pasture today playing with the geldings and my wife, my two son's and I were watching them before work. It was so beautiful. The sky was a bright yellow as the sun rise hit a the edge of the clouds above our ranch. I couldn't  help but think that it was the perfect way to start the day. You both found us the perfect horse.  Thanks,
